One of my favourite places in the world is Barcelona. There is so much to see and do in the city that I cannot imagine anyone ever getting bored. There is Gaudi`s world famous masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia, countless art galleries and, it seems, culture oozing from every pore. One of the most famous streets in Barcelona is the Ramblas where tourists amble up and down, stopping for a bite to eat or a drink in one of the lovely bars lining the street. The first time I went to Barcelona and the Ramblas I was intrigued to find a Human Statue who stood so still you would swear he was made out of stone. I marvelled at how this Human Statue could stand all day with no apparent fatigue, people prodding and poking him, yet not flinching in the slightest. When I had children I knew when they were old enough to understand, that they would love this sight and so took them when they were five and three, to witness the Human Statue on the Ramblas. However, this time there was not one Human Statue but dozens! The children were totally enthralled and came back trying it out themselves at home. It was a great experience for them and one which I think every child should see.
